What's up today (bullchiting) thread.

Caught up on some sleep and then did some shoveling today. Cleaned up the snow on the walks and porch. I need to get my plastic panels up to enclose the porch on Tuesday when it’s warm. So I won’t have to be shoveling that off all winter.

After I was done with that my son helped me move some firewood inside. I brought some more Pine in but also a good bit of hardwood in the form of Ash, Maple, and a couple pieces of Cherry. Good to have the higher BTU stuff for the overnight and when wife and I won’t be able to tend to the boiler for a longer period of time.

Gonna stiffen up those legs with some lower cross braces?

 

Got the dog buried yesterday between rain showers. I t was more like digging mud than dirt.
Today was windy and spitting snow. Not real conducive to outside work.
Canned up 5 qts. of sweet potatoes and am making fried chicken now for supper.
Kind of been lazy the last couple of days.

 

I know it is hard to lose them but she was 14 years old and had a good life.

Actually we have some,their woodwork,and other construction is horrible,they are called "the bad amish",we figured they got run out of pennsylvania.The Hutterites are a different story,great farmers and ranchers,quality meat and veggies.

 

My neighbor had a great day. His stepson got an eight point buck this morning. In exchange for them hunting on my land, even tho they did not get the buck here, I charge them 1 deer heart if they get a deer. They have been know to get two deer and have given me both hearts. I boil them then slice them for lunch meat. They will continue to come over to my land during the rest of the hunting season.
