Ya know, you could round that off on the top & fit more in there right? Nice looking work in all seriousness.
It will be burnt this winter. Haven't burned any myself. Gave some to a friend of mine for his smoker. He loved it.
Now I feel like a slacker. The field is too wet to take the truck to the wood piles and unload so I added more to the top. There wasn’t much time after work and sunset but I made a little progress. This is the heaviest load that’s been in the bed. It’s been loaded with unseasoned Red Oak but this Hickory has some weight to it.
Yep, Hickory has some real heft to it. Not much shag up this way, but a lot of others. They seldom die or tip, so I grab it anytime I can. I've got a few of my own, but they are gonna stay right where they are. Nice looking load.
I finally got a load of firewood that compares with some of the loads I've seen posted here. While a lot of it was just thrown on without being stacked tight, I still think it's a good load. This was my first day cutting since spring and I can sure feel it.
I guess I'll post this. Normal load a little more than a cord. Wouldn't haul it down the road but only have to get it a couple hundred feet.
2017 250 6.7. Had it 2 weeks now. Biggest load so far was 7400 lbs of cattle plus the trailer. I'm impressed with the power so far. Averages about 13.5 mpg with the cattle trailer hooked up. Towed about 350 miles of the 1200
