A sunrise rainbow ?!? o_O Yes...A sunrise rainbow! In the west sky!
This is the end of the story, first.
We returned home this morning after chasing an incredible sunrise, to find this! 7:02am
    (rainbow ending on our house)

Early this morning I was sitting in front of the fire and looking out the small basement window to the east. It was starting to look like a little pink in the distance so I got up and walked to the window to take a look.

I told Mrs. TD hurry up and grab your shoes, lets go see if we can get a pic!

We ran upstairs and grabbed enough clothes and slippahs to literally run out the door (through sleet and the first few minutes of a storm moving in) and jump in the car and take off down the valley about a mile to a small hill where we could pull over safely in the dark.

Here's a couple breath-taking pics of what we got to see. Wow!

Had this happen while sitting on my tower deer stand. it's a shadow of my stand with a ghost fog and a rainbow surrounding the stand shadow. it was weird, the pic don't show the colors well.

    I'll say!
Making the best of it though. I was really wanting to get out and cut a few logs this morning that I skidded down yesterday, but made breakfast, canned Marshel54's sauerkraut stuffed hot peppers and we just made one of walt's skillet apple pies.
A little "rain delay" isn't always bad!
    ;)

A couple more pics from today.
First step out the door. Little sleet and freezing rain, only lasted a few minutes.
    20171118_070432.jpg

Came back home and decided to cook breakfast since it was too ugly to cut.
