Did the order change between the bark and split side on the last three? The middle one on the bark side picture has the classic elm beetle larva galleries indicative of the Dutch Elm disease.
Nope... Didn't change... What you saw there was the tunnels of the locust borer.... We got lots of those here... They'll make dust in your wood pile...
Cool. I have only seen it in elm. Looking carefully at it the tunnels appear smaller than with elms. Is that correct?

The second piece was taken from the main trunk of the tree.. It was over 100 years old when the tornado finally dumped it.. Over 4' across. For years, it was popular with all the neighbors, who enjoyed what it yielded..
