I'm pretty sure I do, inadvertantly. I walk downwind of the woodpile on my way out to the woods. It still smells quite strong. I would bet some of those stink molecules attach themselves to my as I walk by!

They all seem to die of lead poisoning around here.

GrubEx will keep them from setting up shop most of the time. They like to eat the fat juicy grubs that live under the grass. Kill the grubs and the skunks will seek greener pastures.

You are right about that! They root through the entire yard, leaving little holes everywhere. Between the moles and the skunks that we get, I would say we have a huge amount of grubs in our yard.

There is something much better and easier than tomato juice, also less messy.
They sell it at Walmart. Don't know if you have access to one. May be possible to get else where.
It's called "OUT!" Stain & Odor Remover. Distributer is OUT Petcare, LLC, Dallas TX.
They also have a UK office. It comes in a spray bottle in the pet department.
Get some paper towels spray the dog thoroughly and rub off 2-3 times. Then spray until he's good and wet and let it dry.
A bath after ward helps but let the stink go away first.
Lucy's "brother" Max gets into skunk all the time and carrion is his favorite deodorant. When he comes back the girls
are full of adoration:picard:and nobody understands what i'm so upset about.

Peroxide and dawn dish soap does the trick well on the dogs.....google it for the proper formula.

    And baking soda.

    This recipe works!

I've had 2 dogs that like to chase whatever was in the yard, skunks included. Diesel got it in the face and mouth last time. It's really hard to get those parts cleaned...:hair:

Jelly Belly jelly beans has a "gross" package as a novelty item that includes such flavors as dog crap, vomit, etc. Maybe I should send in "skunk funk" to their suggestion box...

Amen. Don't forget lots of baking soda! I place the entire skunk in a similar mixture for over night soak. Makes a big difference when skinning.

    This works very well.

A recipe for removal of that smell when your dog is sprayed by a Skunk

    1 quart Hydrogen Peroxide

    ¼ cup Baking Soda

1 or 2 teaspoons Dawn dish liquid

The black dog in my avatar wouldn't stop until the skunk was dead. RIP Streaker
