I usually don't handle wood that big but when I do this is how I split it.
That is a beast of a machine though

Good lord. Splitting firewood just so it's small enough to cut with a human size chainsaw and then go through a normal size splitter. Those are some big bits of timber for sure.

Neat idea ! Don't think it's practical from my end though ... I could dice em in quarters with the ported 395xp and SuperSplit em ! Might take a hair longer and be a bit more work though

Could have used it this weekend during tornado cleanup. That is a buried 661c with a 36" bar. My Husqvarna 372 w 28" Tsumura was the little guy on that job. IMG_20171111_181436.jpg

There's a couple days worth of heat in that stump. I'd hate to move it though.

Yeah ... easy-peasy cutting but rolling those pcs to a spot where they could be quarter took every ounce of oomp we had ... 500lbs of human(s) with 6 ft die bars and still barely go the job done ... had to fab up a crane with the help of Willy the welder to get em up to the splitter .... we got just under 10face cord of wood off this one tree this march ... should be burnable by next Dec
