Don't be jealous :D. New saw and deep snow will make you do unusual things to get out to woods. 20140307_101005.jpg

Won't haul more than 1/2 a cord without heavier springs and definitely a bigger motor!:)

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do sometimes. I use my kids' sled all the time in deep snow to get rounds or splits from the cutting area to a trail where I pick it up with the big sled behind the snowmobile......

I hate it when you have big rounds on those plastic sleds and it flips over on you 20 times over a course of 30 yds. Drives a man nuts I tell ya!

It worked pretty good and right now its the only way to get there. There is about a 1" crust on top of another 12+ inches of snow and if you stay on top your ok. Bad part was after I dropped a few small trees they just disappeared. Guess ill find those later when the snow melts.

Understood !! Tried to sneak my dads RTV around the field yesterday . Was going good on top of snow really well...then it just dropped down about a foot . It never moved on its own again . But it was nice seeing some grass and frozen dirt on the tires :) No worries......took the big Kubota tractor back there and yanked the RTV home !! Should have just walked :)

I tried with truck last week and buried it. Went back got my other truck and got it all hooked up and then starter went out on stuck truck:mad:. Nothing quite as fun as pulling out a buried truck that wont start.

HJ, you can tell you've had a lot more warm weather down there just by looking at how the snow has sunk down around the trees. A sure sign that spring is close!

44 yesterday was like a heat wave. I made a mistake today and dropped one into the field with out checking depth of snow first. Walked out to start on the top of tree and fell through the snow and it was waist deep. I think ill wait a little to finish that one. We did see our first cardinal today.
