Well the spiced pears we did violates all of the rules, plenty of added sugar(equivalent anyway orange blossom honey, brandy, cloves, stick cinnamon, and other spices) the juice is really easy going down.

Yup, same here. Drove down to my honeys place and spend the day cleaning up her yard. damm we could have used a ride mower there, but not yet-maybe next year when on sale.

I did the backpack blower duty while she mulched with the 15 year old Honda walk behind lawn mower that was on its last breath.

Soo, about an hour into working she gets my attention and points at the lawn mover-which was on fire. No smoking, pretty good size flames all around the base of the motor. She says the garden hose is frozen so I figured, I have a wind machine. Hit it once with a quick blast to make sure fuel wasn't flying, then doused it with wind to put out the flames.

Figured the thing was dead at that point and gave its last rights and the sign of the cross. Actually it looked good and I think the fire may have been from accumulated dead stuff and the muffler. Pulled the cord and she started right up.  I thought for sure that at least the rubber fuel lines would have been melted just from the location of the fire and the fact that it burned for at least 1-2 minutes before I got over to it. Gotta love the Honda engine !!

It ran for maybe 5 minutes till what she thought was out of gas. Filled it ans it started but would not engage the blade without killing the engine. Looked at a few things but smelled burnt and then the cord wouldnt even pull. This time it was big paperweight time as something was completely seized up.

I resurrected this mower's engine 2 summers ago, but this time shes done. Borrowed the neighbors Toro that looked like it was ready to roll over and die as well, but that finished the yard.

I really should do the Ridgeline. The back 3 plugs will be a challenge.

My sons college roommate whacked one last night. The roommate comes home on weekends and he was heading back down yesterday to go to a party with my kid and nailed one on the turnpike. They said the damage wasn't too bad though.

Like how you fired the mower back up there, just to make -sure- it was done G.

Busy day here too (not as exciting as G's!) - got the '96 Camry road-worthy and took it for a test drive.

Have spent the past 3 days soaking the heater valve (mounted inside the engine compartment on this Camry) and heat control cable going through the firewall w/ PB Blaster -> lubricating oil -> working some 320 grit sandpaper around the cable where it exits the plastic sheath, rinse, lather and repeat.. And it worked (!) - everything freed up, Heater controls working A-ok from inside the cabin.

Operation Pellet Hauler moving forward ! Feeling like a win today - gonna paint a big 'ol 20 on the roof & the Circle K emblem on the hood.

It will happen, but prolly not before the kids are all on their own. 2.5 down and 1.5 to go (20 year old in college counts as half in half out)

You see- like I said, I am old fashioned. She has 4 kids that includes 20 and 25 year old boys-there is no reason she should even be doing this work-and I am not one to keep my mouth shut about chit like that.

You got your wish! Took a few laps for the left front to go, But the 11 did go straight into the fence! 24 almost pulled it off. Just missed with a 2nd place finish.

2 wound up getting in, By sheer luck. 2 yota's vs 2 Fords. My moneys on the 78 at the mile and 1/2. But wouldn't mind seeing the 4 or the 2 pulling it off.
