Dawn, Matt, and I css storm damaged birch today. When working with woman, and a bunch of tree mice start coming out of your rounds, you must relocate them to another hole in a tree or else they won't help anymore. This is one of three lengths of birch, close but only light rot. Caught it just in time. The F- 250 is sagging alittle, fully loaded. Back at the house, a better view of the load. Easy to drop onto the splitter and into the wagon which Dawn took over from there, stacking everything in the field. While waiting for her to return with the wagon, setting up the quarters. Nice to work at waist level. Only got half the truck css, and will hopefully tackle it again tomorrow. There is another truckload i can go back for maybe next weekend.
Looks great! I had a similarly sized birch come down in that storm too. Already burned about 1/2 of it in the OWB...gonna split and stack the other 1/2 tomorrow. Doesn't look like you got too much snow in whitefield on Friday? I work for the power company and I know we were pretty busy Friday afternoon/evening...especially up your way.
Nice work Mrs. & Mr. Well Seasoned , don't worry about the mice because they'll becoming to your house soon!
My son volunteered at his school to do an exhibit for his science class. Part of it was mice. There are 2 types....... - field mice (tail is shorter than their body) - tree mice ( tail is longer than their body) I never knew this.
Doing good, hunting hard, but getting nothing, Lol, was wicked cold hunting yesterday but wood stove warmed me up fast...
Good luck..... weird weather patterns lately has em acting funny im sure. There's still plenty of apples on the ground, although rather punky.
Your right, that says FHC! Not long ago we had a mini g2g. The wagon was at the end of the drive by the road. Also painted a sled and trashcan with FHC
No kidding! Where abouts ya located? We had about 2", most of it melted in sunny spots. I was in Lincoln that morning after it snowed. They recieved a "plowable" amount.
I'm in Tuftonboro, on the north side of Lake Winni. We didn't get any snow at all, just rain but I was talking to lineman in the north country all day, sounded like a mess up there. That time of year I guess...won't be long now before the whole states covered in the white stuff.
