I've been known to have a cooler of beer in the back of my truck. Helps keep them cold.

This is the same crowd that runs 5" stacks on their diesel that has the fuel programmed up so high that it leaves a cloud of black smoke every time they take off or hit the throttle

That would be me... Surely. When I do finally break down and buy a new truck. It will be a diesel and it will spit a Lil smoke. :)

I had a brand new 1999 S-10 Xtreme my Senior year and bought my F-150 brand new when I was 20. Worked full time through high school and paid for all my own stuff. Oh, and I always have a cooler someplace close to me

You can't hate on everyone because they were "given" more. Would you have stopped your parents if they wanted to buy you a new $60,000 diesel?

My son had been "Given" more than I had as a child, but that's what you do you for your kids. Look out and make sure they have it even better than you did. I always want my son to do more and have more than I did. All the while, making sure he still has good work ethic and appreciation for what he has.

I know some of these kids may not appreciate it, but I am sure most do. I always appreciated the nicer things my parents got me. Even still to this day. Even when it's something small.

To keep us on track---- I pick my truck up in a little bit. :) #Bigtires ;)

Nice. I see talks point. Can't assume everyone is stuck up in life cause of what their given.

If I had the cash and liked the flashy things I might too. I just can't bring myself to pay that kind of cash for something that will loose all its value.

Oh and I want a diesel too I just can't justify the coat of fuel and the initial outlay for the engine. Never will buy new but even used they command a premium. Just to two wood a few times a year or my tractor maybe 4x per year .

Not my truck unfortunately but what's wrong with 20's on a truck? This is my buddy's truck and he just swapped up from the factory 18's to these and did the custom grille. He works for every penny, I can guarantee you that. Nobody has given him a dime towards it. And he's done more dirty work than most of us here will ever see. Usually the first in and the last out if ya catch my drift.

Nobody else is payin' for my new truck either. ;)

Different strokes. I personally hate those big chrome rims. I dont think that looks good. Fine he wants to spend his money on it do it.

My while point to what I said is most of who I speak about DONT work for it.

I'm a forester we had some of the kids I am talking about" volunteer". More like their parents made them do it cause they realized how lazy they were.

All they wanted to do is go do stuff and they slept. Well I took them with me to cruise a small tract. Tried to explain and they could care less. They complained about how tired they were and backs and legs etc. We rode almost 2 hours to get there worked for maybe 3 hours and drove back. I kept tellingthem iI as twice their age and was fine and that we werent even doing anything hard here. Just a walk in the woods???

I worry for the new generation.

    Edit.
I also went to Clemson as some may of figured from the name. There were frats full of kids that all drove brand new trucks, I promise you 80% of them DID not work for it. It was given to them, most were the snobbiest stuck up folks you could imagine. How do I know it was given. Well when you spend all your free time at balls and drinking g all night and weekend and just hangout over breaks were is the time to work? But I am in no way saying that anyone here is that way. Your personal experiences may vary and they clearly do. That said I know some work for what they have. I had friends in college with new/newer trucks. They worked for them, there was no mistaking it.
