I expect there will be many ski hills open for Thanksgiving this year. Seems there have been too many years as of late where they can't open early. That has to hurt a business that has such a short season.

I'm hoping to get one last motorcycle ride to work this season. It may be this week depending on the weather. It looks like Wednesday might cooperate. 42 for a low partly sunny and 49 for a high. That is if the weather guessers are right.

Yes, the hills around here have been making snow.

Yeah, that's just their goofy "let's get one trail open and use it for marketing hoopla!" strategy.

Not worth paying for, especially at their prices.

Even when they do that here it's still dumb. Full rate for 1 run open? Granted, our local hills are a lot less $$ than Killington or similar, but $30 for 1 run and everyone has to use that only run. Ridiculous.

chimney sweep actually came earlier than scheduled this morning, which was a nice surprise....but that is about the only thing that has been good today. Woke up before 4am for no good reason, when they checked my flu's I was informed that the basement flu must have had a chimney fire at some point, and the tiles have some really bad cracks. Gonna need to line that one before I can use it. :headbang: then he advised me that I need to cement in the pipe that goes through the thimble. I didnt realize that needed to be done, and it wasnt done previously. When I went to take the flange off the top of the new stove, one of the bolts was stuck and broke....so I had to drill that out and then get a new pipe to cement in.

Finger is still grossly swollen. F this day!

Time to move some more firewood under the covered porch. My son and I will try to get an hour in before dark.
