I like the throwbacks when they come out. I have some tree bark shirts I beleive is what it is that I bought a a few years ago . Material similar to what that shirt is made out of . One of them has a crunchy spot and hokes melted in it from where I was wearing it while doing some grinding and all the material was hitting my chest and burned some spots in it. Here you need more light shirts and single jackets than heavy stuff. I do have a set or too of full fluffy camo insulated type coveralls but those usually are only needed in december especially these last few years.
I remember when Real Tree All Purpose came out. The first attempt at a pattern with depth. I had to have it and got an outfit head to toe. Wore it for half dozen years or so and just thought it was the cat's meow. It's incredible how camouflage has changed since the early Realtree, Mossy and Treebark stuff. I have managed to kill dear wearing any of the above over the years however.
Someone said 14* here tomorrow night! Holy cow...I'm behind on my beard this year. Usually start letting it grow at Thanksgiving time.
I use to love Advantage. It had more oak leaves or something in it to me. Seemed more realistic. Before cabelas and others came up with their conifer pattern my idea in the 90s was a pine camo. For all the guys in the south that him pine tree land. Back then most was paper company land. You had guys up in a tree wearing oak patterns when there was not an oak tree for hundreds of yards. But I was a kid, not a business man, and I still am not so I wouldn't even know go to go about it of that was an idea today.

Here is what I had. It was called All Purpose Brown. I believe they had a gray also. I special ordered it from my LGS/archery. I believe that I even had matching Rocky Boots Cornstalkers. lol. Money was hard to come by in my early teens, so I ended up buying all single layer thin stuff, then just wearing regular warm clothes underneath. I felt like I had stealth like the Predator does in the movies with it on!
Yep thats the same pattern as my pants in the pic. I thought that first pic looked familiar. I looked up realtree AP and saw that pic in my Google search. That's where I decided that was the same pattern. I also had rocky cornstalkers , mine were advantage. Made of cordura. I bought them in the late 90s. And wore them into college at clemson where I walked them out there. Think the sole split and fell apart is what did them in finially.
I have a kind of freind, who I have hunted with a few times. He really is the father to my wife's best college friend. He went to High School with Bill Jordan (pronounced Jerdan).
I melted mine drying them by a campfire. Doh! Broke my heart when Rocky moved overseas. Their factory was "local" for me and that's where I bought my boots. Have never forgiven them and still will not buy their products. Edit: Wow, seeing the old camo is bringing back some great memories of a really good part of my youth. Wish I had the drive for hunting and fishing now that I did back then.
I buy them for work. Same model for several years now. Their wide steel toe cap fits my foot the best of any brand I have tried. Others either let my small toe jam into the out side edge or the top of it hits the tops of my toes as I walk.
I won't try to dissuade you from buying them. Most footwear is foreign now. They took a lot of good jobs from what I consider part of my area (30 minutes away). It hurts a lot worse when it's close to home. Logan Ohio doesn't have much in the way of good jobs and the factory was considered to be an excellent place to work in the area. Thankfully I don't need hard toes and have moved almost exclusively to Merrell footwear. Honestly, one pair I have is the most comfortable footwear I've ever owned outside of some worn in wool lined slippers. They just fit my feet great. Lightweight, waterproof and good tread. I can't ask for much more other than a Star Spangled Banner on the tongue. I don't think I'll ever see that though.
Ours pull off like our turkey tags. There adhesive and you cut the hamstring and tape it around the leg. How many tags do yall get?

And your wife and mom, and brother who doesn't hunt, your 4 and 5 year old son and daughter. I know a guy who grew up in Illinois I know that trick. Haha. We have 8 doe tags , 3 buck tags. Can buy 2 more bucks I think trophy ones? I don't pay attention to all that, I'm not killing that many deer!! This is a new thing for us. First year for tags.
