well, the whole property is a project.
Mainly deleting the field of thorn bushes (ouch) and removing what was growing against the house. However, pondering over building a garage over in this corner on the right. Have a deck in front of the house and a Lil yard.

(The patch of woods beyond that is staying. I like trees. Thorn bushes, less so  :BrianK:

Thunderstorms spoiling up west of here. Tornado watch. Trying to finish up grilling before the SHTF.

More wiring in the basement after dinner.

I am wiped! We cut up all my recent dump wood, and I stacked the rounds in the back yard. It is all very green, and my wedge just bounces off it, so I'll let it check on the ends over winter, and split it in the spring. Dare I say it, I'm working on my year 3 supply, I've got the winter of 18/19 covered.

Lol. Mines used as a stand for the DVD player. For now... We'll be changing our TV setup soon. We're going to all wall mounted stuff. Then the VCR goes bye bye. We haven't used that thing in at least 10 years.

We still have one at the cottage that we will use. No TV there, just DVDs and VCR. When you can pick up VHS tapes at sales for anywhere 50 cents to 4/$1; even if they only last for one playing, its worth it.

Moved wood today. And kindling. Got it all moved and covered before it poured rain.

Then I made chili in a crockpot. That's a first. I always do it stovetop. Haven't eaten it yet.

Dog went out...got dirty as hell. Banished him to garage. That's where I'm at anyway.

Also managed to get this old thing mounted. EHD killed this poor guy.
I went for the old look. Didn't even clean it up.

    Yup
After splitting about a third of it, I'd say it's better than a lot already in the shed.
I love the standing dead oaks and I love them more when they're newly horizontal.

About to get back to wiring. No choice to quit because my deep freezer outlet isn't working yet.

Whoever wired this place cut every corner there was to cut. 10-3 home runs split into 12-2 circuits when they got to a room....two hots and a shared nuetral...double tapped breakers. Ugh. Ripped out 3 grocery sacks worth of old wire today. Found where one previously unknown wire/breaker went to....an empty box along the sill plate?

Rain and threating all day. We now have severe storm warnings and they aren't lying Nothing done wood wise today except look at my stacks. One has fallen over.:hair::startled::tears: After looking at it, I believe I will space the supporting 4x4s farther apart. At least drive a couple of T-Posts into the ground and put some cattle fence up beside the stack. It is an end row stack. I have never had stack problems as much as I have had this year. Third time restacking. Need to put a game cam up to see if the coons are crawling all over it.
Helped my 16 year-old grandson troubleshoot the starter on his car and install a new power steering pump. You can't imagine his elation when the engine turned over. Grampa was his hero. I felt good too.
And then this ran into my enclosed porch when the door was opened.

It was starving. It is very very very loving, sweet and I would love to keep it, but I already have 3 of these. Don't know what to do. I will call the no-kill shelter in the morning and see what they say. To good of a cat to be euphonized.

Hay, I have 6 of them. All indoor cats. I keep busy with the cat boxes, but the cats are very lovable. Mine are all blue eyed Himalayan. Their long hair requires the most work.
