The bigger round in the trim box is and there's a mix of ash, elm and apple in the crib. IMG_1340.JPG IMG_1339.JPG It was part of these two loads

Looks like you built that about perfect! The right size for your saw.

Contemplating either making the uprights removeable/interchangeable with some short ones to be able to load the bigger stuff that I would cut one at a time. Or just build more of a cutting deck/ guide that works on the same principle with the support pieces for cut and uncut logs. Biggest trouble I've run into is the short pieces that are too long to be firewood but too short to make the second upright.

I think the "too long" but "too short" dilemma is a wood hoarders conundrum even Confucius can't solve.

I have no backstop, just stage them wherever makes sense and lose zero sleep about it. It will burn.

You will get "legal notice" from my HOA if you do something like that at 7 AM any day of the week. These folks like it quiet until at least 8:30 or 9. It is better to wait a bit and not have them tell you that you simply can't process wood on your place.

Ive got two piles of poles to process, but I’m already on the 5 year plan so I’ve been dragging my feet but just had to do some cutting this afternoon :D 339E245A-9154-4B08-B8BB-927ACDB53859.jpeg
Got to run the new 6400 a bit too as well as trying a binder over the ends of the logs to hold them from flying out on the last cut. 9AF81218-EDD5-4235-B1FA-259A22DEEB52.jpeg

    J. Dirt I saw a nice little Farm All...cub maybe. As a kid my PawPaw had a super Cub that I got to tend the garden with....good years those were. He we get a ration from most of my parents, aunts, uncle. I could hear him, tell them to watch for a minutes. Was not long I had lots of garden to tend. There was lots of implements that would reduce hoeing the garden. Was 7 when I started driving it by myself. Had to stand up to mash either the clutch or brake.

And now I get the same when my boys drive my tractor...I use PawPaw's line...they shut up. My boys are moving wood or snow, with the permafrost we don't garden, have a hothouse, but need a bigger one....Retirement I can't wait to meet you!!!:handshake:
