Did you try loading the cylinders with rust buster or Kero and let it sit a day or so?

Loving this weather, although I know it's short lived. Nov. 2nd, and it's 70* out right now.

Omni pod and a dexcom cgm. Its the chit. His iphone is the master, mom and dad's phone are the slaves. We can jack him up hundreds of miles apart. Lessens the daily finger pricks too.

I don't think the finger pricks is a bother for her it is a nuisance issue.

Is see some talk of new rigs

Back in June we bought a new 2017 Smart Fortwo

We had a 2013 and it was great not any issues.

The 2017 has been a POS from day one.

Less than 20 miles the brake system booster failed (Dash message lit up)
3 weeks later the SES lamp came on and it was an emissions system isue (in the shop a week)

A month later the night before a special trip to Canada and a wedding, the car would not start (Electronic security gizmo quit)
We missed the wedding and the vacation.

A month later (recently) car will not start off and on.

    ARRRRRRRGH :headbang:
Rig back in the shop and I told them we are not setting foot in it again PERIOD....

It's a Mercedes dealer and financed through Mercedes Benz.

    Soooooo.
I can't afford a new Merc. NOOOOOOOOOOO WAY

Buttttttttttttttttttt, they have a 2008 GL550 in the used stable that is a sweetheart.

    Price is right too.

Sooooooooooooooo, anyone here had anything to do with the Big Benz ??????

The piccy posted is not the actual rig but the same model and color.

Drove it Tuesday and its still being checked out and detailed, so not quite ready for prime time yet.

Currently we have a 2017 C 300 4 matic as a loaner sitting in the drive

The C class is just too hard for me to crawl down into, and the new ones are too Spendy $$$$$

Definitely have to say that the GL 550 is culture shock for sure. :bug:

More buttons and knobs than I have ever seen in a rig.

    Goes like STINK :D

You are on your own as I hate all cars. They are money sinks just like boats and camps these days.

Larry there is a place here in Winthrop called Mid Maine Generator, right on 202. They sell Kohler's. I imagine they're a little pricey but it could be a good place to get some ideas.

The other problem with the whole house units is they suck down propane. Makes more sense to me if the house had Natural Gas.

I agree on the money sinks.

Thought that when we bought the brand new unit that we would have a good period of zero issues.

    Noooooooooooooo.

I am thinking that the big Benz with 100K on the clock and runs great is likely a better deal.

The car fax shows zero issues and spot on service intervals from new.

    WE shall see.

I wish I had nat. gas back in the other house too, but had to go the propane route. Had 2- 100 Gal tanks. If full, they powered the 12KW Generac for more than 3 days, and were still about 20% full, IIRC.

At $2.50/gal thats $400.00 for 3-4 days of power. Ouch

I guess that in an emergency, it goes down easier than sitting here with normal power on
