That will probably be the next route I'll be going is custom. We have a few great gunsmiths in our area!

That old saying you get what you pay for. Repeatability of accuracy shot after shot. Something to be said for knowing where the round will impact vs thinking where it may impact.

Did they give you an moa guarantee with the 70 action?

Is the Cera kote actually wearing or is the stock itself wearing?
What was wrong with how the scope was mounted?
What's that sucker weigh in at?

Cera Kote, gunsmith did not like the clearance and 13.4lbs. I didn’t know until after the fact about the rings. I can only speak for myself GA Precision has made sure that mine have been perfect when I received them.

To add it has taken many hours and miles for that wear to show. I am actually surprised how long it took to show. I have a buddy that went along with me and had a new rifle. Getting back to civilization and discovering the wear that was on his gun. Now will only take an ole throw away. In fear of what’s going to happen to his nice guns.I told him to leave that Weatherby at home....no one ever listens.

My logbook doesn’t track hours, I would guess it has 1,500+ hours I would not ever care to guess the mikes in the field. It’s a tool not a safe queen.

Your right blacksmith i do need one. For wolf hunting the Win m70 varmint contour sounds interesting. Have also been considering a 22 Creedmore from GAP. I have a ole Rem BDL .222 and 17 Ren both Varmint models. Nice little fur guns. A ole Swift sounds like it will fit in well.

Boomstick yes. GA Precision carries a 3/8 MOA guarantee. I have seen thousands of targets from GAP guns to get a 3/8 target...more often than not its the shooter that opened that group up. Normally with vertical or horizontal stringing.

I LOVE IT!:drunk:That has me drooling and calls for me to raise my glass to you sir. That is one good looking gun. I know that earlier in this thread you said that your 6.5 GAP was made off of an unfired 270 WSM action, did you provide the action? If you didn't is it a New Haven, FHN North Carolina, or a FHN Portuguese action?

Thank you kind Sir, GAP deserves the credit. Both of these are New Havens, both unfired, all I had to provide was a VISA card. This one is a Win m70 stainless 338 Win mag Bartlien #4 stainless with flutes @24 inch and Vais break, Cera-Kote OD green, Manners MCS-T stock, Sunny Hill custom floor plate, custom painted by Custom Gun Coatings in 3 color GAP Flecturn, Tally custom rings, Bushnell LRHS (designed by GA Precision for Bushnell). Pictured with a Barnes 225 gr TTSX. This is the big brother for the 6.5 GAP. This one is the first GAP I had built.

As pictured the 338 was $3,600 + 1,200 for glass and the. 6.5 saum was $3,800 + $3,400 for the glass. Not sure about actions. I am sure they can be sourced. Unfired actions are not necessary, I did not send mine in because George got them cheaper than mine cost. So I just kept what I had. I think they cost right @420-450. I would not hesitate to buy a used one and send it. They will put a lot of time in the action whether it’s new or used.

Reasonable for such a fine custom rifle. I have seen some more expensive than that!

B:DE:drool:A:salute:Utiful! Fine rifles right there! Farthest shots on both of them? Do you get much trigger time aside from hunting? I’m lucky if I can even remember the combination to my safe, goes to show how much trigger time I get :(
