I've got a spare rear window waiting as well. It came out of a "cut cab" (everything but doors and firewall) I bought to replace the cab corners, rockers and floorboards of my F-350.

I may Fab up a headache with some protection too. It's only a matter of time.

Had to clean out the bones closet at work, for arrival of the new machine.... so I'll take a few components off at home at my leisure and then drop off at the scrappers ....

Made it home from Akron at 4:45. There was a shooting involving two officers at a car dealership that delayed me about 15 mins. Sounds like they'll be OK.

I had my oldest boy load the saws, fuel, tools etc. We got down to my dad's at 5:30. We had less than 2 hours before it got dark in the woods. We got quite a bit done for the little time we had. IMG_20170928_185453342.jpg IMG_20170928_185517258.jpg IMG_20170928_193025873.jpg

The drive out along the bean field.

Not a serious load, but a rare sight in town, 4 heaping truckloads Of wood. Probably only would have been 1 load if it was all chopped up, but had to haul the smaller branches away, twigs, leaves and all. An old fella a few doors down from mom's work had a large tree trimmed, and it so happened that mom was let take possession of the remnants. Free wood for us, and i do believe the old fella saved some money by not having to pay to have it taken away. So it's worth the extra effort to help him out.

Greatly varying sizes, but mostly smaller branches, as expected from just a trimming. Good kindling, some larger chunks. some of this stuff will be burned in a way, but not in a furnace - me and mom both do Woodburning art, what's suitable will be chopped into thin discs and used for making jewelry and other artwork. And of course what's not suitable I'll take home for the furnace. :coldfire:

Decent way to spend some of a Monday evening....

Just another load of small branches suitable for kindling and some artwork use. This one from mom's neighbors boyfriend who was doing some trimming. Can't complain about free, and almost no work involved.

Oh I know what you mean :wacky:

It’s fully removable and doubles the capacity! I’m glad I put it together! Have to see if I’ve got a pic with the tail boards in

Do you use two stake pockets per side then the ratchet strap for the front? I have wanted a headache rack but don’t want to give up my wood racks. I might have to borrow your idea.
