We've been out for almost 48 hours. There's power on the main road, but not on the feeder around the lake. I came home to find nobody here, yet the generator running? Just lit a fire and some candles so I could shut that racket off. Now I can hear my neighbors screamers instead. At least it's somewhat quieter.

Power companies storm outage map has my neighborhood listed to be back up by 10 tomorrow night.

Looks like I'll be heading to my office in the morning instead of working in my pajamas

Yes, better, but not 100%. I'll take 75% over 10% any day.

33 and clear here this a.m.. :coffee: :flipeggs:happening. Need to knock out a couple of "Honey Do" list jobs then out to the shop to complete my latest winter project, sorting thousands of nuts, bolts and screws that I have collected over the years and just threw into plastic pails. Pretty much everything has been sorted, now just have to mark all of the compartments. Amazing how you find these unique projects when your retired............... :rofl:  Everyone have a good and safe day.

Monin all... Maine power outage could be a long term thing for some unfortunate folks. Now, they're saying 400,000 were originally out on Monday when it started. Now, about 200,000... all good. A buddy of mine told me his nephew (chopper pilot) flew some CMP big wigs around to assess the damage and it's really bad in some remote areas. Infrastructure really took a hit. Could be much longer than a week in some places. At least it's not below zero anyway, and today's weather should be perfect for the linemen to do their thing.

The power came back on this morning, announced loudly by the vacuum turning on just outside my bedroom door. Not sure how it was plugged in and powered on since the power went out at nearly midnight? 33 and chilly this morning, had to drag my azz out of bed at 2am, this crappy shoulder maple only will last for about 4 hours. It was a giant pile of coals at 2am, but it wasnt too warm in the house.

Off on a shopping trip today. Our good weather still seems to be holding. The community fireworks display last night was awesome. We watched it from the comfort of our living room.

Good morning, 32 out of doors with mid 40's and rain.
Hope you folks with out power get hooked up sooner than later and those of you feeling poorly get to feeling better.
Been working some x-tra at the workhouse, my good wife says I'm glad to do it.
Gonna' try to get ball joints on The Great White Hope this evening, and whatever else it needs,,,that old wreck handles like a Quaalude wagon.
Gotta' mess of cull logs to make into far'wood just 12 miles down the road as soon as I get the old beast road worthy.
