None yet. And probably not for another 1-2 weeks at least. Temps are still holding in the 60s.

First fire was Monday night, could have had a couple before that but made more sense to kick on the heat pump to take the chill off in the morning.

I finally had a small one. Just some 1-2" branches to take the chill out of the basement.

Just lit my second fire this season. Weather has been unseasonably warm.

Mostly some evening fires early in the month but probably going to have a few days of 24 burn with this cold front expecting in the teens over the next couple of nights with a couple of inches of snow

Last night was our first night with wood heat, tonight will be our second. They are forecasting our first freeze for tonight. We have only used propane a very few times this fall.

I have been needing small fires but I let them go out at night. It was 62F/16.7C this evening and that is a little chilly for me.

And I'm just the opposite. I light up around 8-9PM and let it go out in the morning.

Supposed to be high of 41* today, low of 29* tonight. Tore it apart last night to look at the blowers. Right hand unit wasn't spinning. Took it out and got some MC chain lube on the bearings and it freed right up. Only problem is it's loud! Anyone know where I could find what the correct replacement bearing for this gizmo is? I can find the entire blower by the part # but not much beyond that. It's a Heatilator Constitution that came with the house.

The bearing number is often on the side of the bearing if you can press it out.

    Thank you.
Was hoping to get them before disassembling to minimize down time. Really should have taken care of this earlier in the season but...

A cold front blew in last night (Saturday) and I started my first fire of the season here in East Texas. The low last night was 33 degrees and it never got above 58 degrees during the day, which is very rare for this time of the year. I hope this is not a sign of things to come! :BrianK:

First fire of the year for us this morning. Going to keep it small and let it go out mid morning. Getting to the low 30’s tonight and wanted to fire her up and make sure everything was in working order. Looking and feeling good right now. Our dog is happy to have her favorite warm spot back.

No power since Sunday at 11pm but thankfully we have a generator to power the well pump, boiler, refrigerators and freezer.
