I I have not narrowed one down yet. I'll probably get the one with the 8.38'' barrel. I looked at the performance center models a while back but they are ugly and very high priced. I'll probably get a FN five seven first unless the 500 comes on sale. I buy most of my guns at Rural King. a few times a year they do 12% all guns. You can get a heck of a deal on a five seven or a 500 then. I just looked and the five seven is sold out there so if they have the sale soon I'll get the 500.
Buds gun shop has good prices as well, they do the low price high volume concept of retail. They seem to always have sale prices.
I have been looking at a performance model for the wheeler/snow machine hunting. Just when I think I am progressing that way I decide it doesn’t have the range I need.
RK is usually priced around or beat buds but on the 500 Buds beats them bad. I've bought a couple of guns from a place called Sportmans Outdoor Superstore. That is where I got my sheild. The guy I had it transferred to could not believe what I paid for it.
Actually the performance center models are not that much more. When I looked before i thought they were over $2,000. S&W S&W500 5RD 500S&W 10.5
I was just checking out the links you posted, man I sure like that performance shop. Makes me wonder what the range of that thing is.
The 4 inch will get to 300 with not much effort. I shoot a steel caribou at my local range. It is life size. We have a 400 yard moose and a 18" gong at 500 I need to play around with it more. And see what the 4" limits are.
Now who would want an over-hyped, over-priced, glorified .22 magnum?!? Mine is of the discontinued OD green variety.
That is today's plan There are a couple rifles I need and a shotgun too. The fiveseven was going to be my next purchase 3-4 guns ago but some guns I wanted came on sale.
