Look closely at that last picture. I got this off the video but notice there are antlers but no testicles! I see the teats hanging down but that's all. A strange one indeed but it appears we have a doe with antlers.
New buck showed up last night at the scrape behind the house. Only a small six but fun to watch. First you must sniff the scrape! Then put some sent on the holly branch Then nothing like a good pee thru the back sent glands to top it off!!!!
The one in the top photo is a different one than the other two but I'll take either if I get the chance.
Interesting and not all that uncommon. I have seen a few over the years including a 10 point doe harvested by a neighbor back in the 90's. Typically an antlered doe does not rub the velvet off their antlers and they will look hairy unlike a bucks. Seen a few bearded hen turkeys over the years too. Best of luck with those two good bucks.
Coworker was due to start his vacation today. He takes off every year for the rut. He bagged this fellow yesterday evening. He has a couple pics of him on trail Cam about two weeks ago. Had not been spotted in the area until then. His buddy has a pic of same deer about 1-1/4 miles away. They are definitely on the move in these parts.
He also likes the character bucks. He has a dozen or more nice mounts at his house. Very dedicated hunter.
Moved my camera back by my apple trees two nights ago and gee there is more than one deer here sorry the pictures aren’t the best but still fun
