I do expect some movement, but it should be minimal. There's only water in that ditch on occasion. Big rains, usually.

I also put a flagstone floor in it to keep it from eroding...

I was glad to hear that as it was a concern as soon as I saw it.....

    Good job!

It's only two courses high for the most part, literally not even 2'
So if it needs light maintenance from time to time, it won't be a big deal.

Some pics of the progress......the biggest retaining wall is coming along nicely. Should have it completed and back filled by the weekend..

I'm fitting the stones as tight as I can, and I'll go back through once they are all set and put mortar under the ones that wiggle......

I wanna get these couple walls done and back filled, as well as get the footer for the fireplace/pizza oven in, before the winter weather hits.

My wife and I poured our sidewalk last week. We mixed all the concrete ourselves. My wife is a great coworker.

Looks nice buddy!! Are you gonna build up the yard around the walk, or put stone along the sides of it?

I know, thanks to those two azzholes that screwed me on the concrere, or else I'd possibly be building fires in the pizza oven by now.

They put me back literally 2 months. All of this would've been done by now....

Not yet......I'm going to use at least one for on the wall.

I'm going to use most of them for veneer on the back foundation wall, probably won't happen until spring.....

Slowly but surely making more progress. The rain and damp yard have hindered efforts.

Hoping to have most of these walls done and backfilled by the end of the weekend. I picked up another road of large rocks up on the mountain Sunday afternoon, should have enough to complete these walls here now.
