Fire in the hole! Not my first fire, actually my second one today...mixed in two pieces of Pine on the last load instead of the usual one...didn't turn the lights out to see, but had to have been with in 100* (STT) of stove glowing...oopsie ...kinda warm in hereah now...
Yep, 44F here with a cold rain & wind. 76F inside with a window cracked open a bit. Coolish damp weather predicted for the next week. Small fires of pine & Cherry on the menu I think.
House is cooling so we'll have another fire before long. Temperature has been mostly in the 40's today with 30's early.
been having some night fires in Dakota, upper 60's here today, but low 40's tomorrow and extended forecast. Looks like we'll have to start loading in the morning before work from here on out!
Yep, just got home but I am going to a new farm to look at some future BTU's. I'll get a fire after that, 30's and frost tonight. I put a big crock of vegetable soup on this morning, smells wonderful in the house.
Looked at some easy trees to drop real close to the road, nothing real big but that means not much splitting. Got the stove lit off now.
Same here my friend, built the first fire of the year last night in the BK . Will have another here shortly. News said something about tonight being the end of the growing season for alot of Ohio, sure am missing them 70's temps.
When I came in from hunting, the love of my life had a nice fire going! It was welcome too. First freeze forecast for tonight. Funny too because a few days ago NOAA notified that they no longer would issue frost or freeze warnings for this fall. Funny that they never issued one this year. But they always cut it off in last October every year when the growing season is officially over. I think on October 20.
A certain blonde who shall remain nameless is supposed to come over tomorrow evening. She's fascinated by the princess, so maybe we'll touch one off. I've been burning pellets pretty steadily for about 3 or 4 days downstairs.
