Why would you make a bin if they are too long? cut them the right Length and stack them with the rest. :)

I should have specified the pieces I cut off that are short chunks will be going in the bins.

Need to build a second one! Just a pallet on the bottom with some 2x4 corners wrapped in brick mesh. It was actually something I made about 15 years ago for drying popcorn we grew. It used to have a mesh top to keep the critters out. Most of the longer uglies just go on the top of the stacks. IMG_1690.PNG

OP, a lot of those are stackable if you get a little creative. Doesn't take much time.
When they get too ugly, they're stacked on top of everything else so they don't detract too much from the aesthetics of the stack.
I had a big W. pine taken down a few years ago, and some of that tree was about as ugly as they come. Most ugly pieces from that tree are still sitting out at the pit, waiting...........
I like the idea of an "ugly tote" or bin, but it's easier for me to just put 'em up top.

That's exactly what I am going to make. Now just to shave down the wife's honey do list before I get to that. She thinks I have a problem. I do, I am a firewood hoarder.

I use some fence panels to make a bin and throw them in if I need to accumulate wood. If I need more space, they go on the burn pile.

We don't have problems here. We are the Trimmer of Trees, the Master Cutters, Keepers of Dessicated Cellulose, Conflagrators of Such. we guard wood like we guard the right to bear arms. If your wives think you're crazy, send them out in the cold. Might change their minds quite quickly.

On the cob? Shelled? Popped? That is the deciding factor
