I decided that two more loads should be done, I'm working on covering the trail to the gate.

How long of a stretch do you think you have done? How thick do you lay it? When I get my hands on some, I believe I will lay it down as well.

Just a guess, I think it's about 50 yards long by about 10-12 inches deep.

Every year, this year we'll be packing down the trail with some 1997 Polaris Indy 500 sleds before we cc ski.

I keep saying I'll open/make a trail so we have another option to go up top, maybe later this year. The first part is open but once you get up the trail, it narrows pretty good.

It looks like it was real nice last year on 12/15. Pic 6525 is the start, in pic 6527 things start closing up.

I did another two loads tonight, the last four loads covered 14 feet of the trail in length. Pics 7990 & 7991 is part of the trail back in the woods that I covered with pine needles two years ago, you can see how it breaks down.

I made this trail through this part of our property a few years back, it looks like two bigtooth aspen came down across it, time to open it back up.

That wood doesn't look to be in too good of shape, at least not what's up close. Still wouldn't hurt to get it cleaned up. You can't lay around all winter and get fat. :axe:

The woodpecker went to town on the first one, both are good for making dirt.

Got a little cold moving in around here soon....50's day and 30's night this weekend. The weather man just said we may have some wet snow flakes and may need a winter coat next week. We'll see what this Buck stove will do.

We'll get the cold but I think the snow will hold off, the Buck stove will throw the heat.

I did a chit load of trail work today (making them wider) 8084 is before & 8085 is after,8086,8088 & 8089 is some of the dead chit I cut back, 8093 is after.

8097 & 98 area rotten tree leaning against a small basswood (right next to the trail) so I took the pole saw to the small basswood so they both would come down.
