Good morning from Alaska! Fall is here, just getting snow on the ground, fire keeping the place warm. Looking forward to sharing pictures and experiences. I have enjoyed viewing the board for a while. Look forward to meeting you. Tom
Welcome to the club!!:stacke: I think you’ll like it here!!! How’s the weather in your neck of the woods this morning?
0845 here, I’m currently in central Florida so 76F but home in WNY looks to be low 40F today and I’m missing it
I was breed and grew up in the South. I will trade cold weather for hurricanes, tornadoes, ... Back when I was stationed in Pa, a few of us went in and bought a fish camp up in Chippewa Bay, NY @ thousand islands area. I do miss the place!
If someone in a burning bush would ever ask....I will gladly keep it. Matter of fact send your snow my way. I love the snow, love it more since I have taught the wife how to hook the blower up to the tractor, and I don't have to do clear it anymore!
Hey Tom....I'm new here too. Pretty cool place. I've learned a lot. Have new wood toys......want more...so beware. In a past life time, passed through Alcan...Northway Junction on a cold, -49F, Jan day. Headed back to Soldotna. The owner, of the gas station's kids were watching the thermometer very close that morning. If it hit -50F, no school bus.
I know the place well. That gas station is called the Nobbie Neigh (knobby Knee). I hear you about the toys...its a never ending expansion of the fleet. While I am a novice to collecting I am about to pick up a MS 660 for the wood pile. My hot 036's just don't pull the big bars like I had hoped. The wife is pretty understanding about toys following me home. Well maybe she just finds my explanations of how we can't live without....and lets me get away with it. Maybe lots of OT and giving her $$$$ to spend don't hurt either.
Welcome to the club Rope this is a wonderful place to hang out here we are one big happy family! So pull up a seat by the fire sit a spell tell us some stories and share some pictures ,we love pictures here!
Thank you Sir. As soon as I get home and figure out the picture thing, I will try and load a few up. I realize no pictures....then it did not happen rule!
G'day and welcome Rope. You will love the MS 660 they are a great saw. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nice to meet you Tom Rope Pics are easy- you can use the “upload a file” button next to “Post reply” button. Easy peazy
Thank you leoht! I think the 660 will fit the bill and pull a 28" bar through the wood pile. I have been needing one for a while. I have just found other whys to spend $1,200+.
