Cooking at a fundraiser today for the High School music program. We are hosting a pasta feed for the MDI marathon happening tomorrow.

Well, it's going to be warm-ish, well at least for this time of year still this week. After that? Who knows?

I can relate to that. I am awake at least 4 times during the night. My meds cause me to wake up with a full bladder calling me. That is why I still nap in the afternoon. As for driving, I don't go far. Just in town which is 3-6 miles depending where I want to go. The wife normally drives if we go further. Meds also make me sleepy much of the time.

I can't imagine anyone even thinking of asking someone else to do that unless they have been married several years. :bug::picard:. Hope you have a good day cooking for the fundraiser. Also hope you don't get rained out tomorrow.

Just FYI...that New Glarus Staghorn Oktoberfest beer is pretty good. It's on the mild side as far as the spices go, which is good with me.

    Have fun!

I see Juncos when there is snow on the way. They usually show up here in flocks about this time of year.

Mowed the lawn late this afternoon. Hopefully that will be the last time this year. Getting a few other odds and ends done around the house. Waiting on home made turkey-rice-grilled vegatable soup. With oven baked Parmesan encrusted tortilla shells. She cuts them up into triangles and douses with olive oil then sprinkled with Parmesan and bakes. Tasty.

One of the things I miss from living in KS for the first 25 years of my life - watching the storms approach. Don't get quite the same affect in the hills of NH - I can see them approaching from about 1 mile away instead of 20 miles in the flatlands.

It was colder in early September here - one day with a high of 55.
Been mid-upper 80's all October but Monday a front is bringing 70's for highs;)

We had some crazy hummingbird activity this year, impossible to count but easy 20-30 on the feeders at peak times.
Haven't seen or heard one in three days here. there were only 1-2 holdovers for the past week after the remnant's of Nate blew through

First run of calzones on the Akorn tonight.:beerbbq:
I can experiment when the GF is away :D Last Sunday I forced it into action on a pepperoni roll as the power was out from Nate.
Roll came out so-so bottom burnt because I forgot the pizza stone under the pan.

Brought my 3yo to the homecoming football game tonight to see her big sister playing in the band. Note to self, dont put small one on your shoulders while she is eating chocolate chip cookies.
