Brought the first load up to the house in preparation for winter. The top two rows are four year old cherry and the rest is four year old ash. This should last until just after the first of the year depending on the severity of the weather, then I'll reload with white oak. The pipe is swept, a new catalyst is in the stove, wood's on the porch, okay winner come on, but not too hard please.
Here in Kentucky we don't need quite as much wood on the porch as you kids in Michigan or you kids in the great frozen northeast. I don't see an inside fire untill the first of November. But things could change. As the old saying goes; if you don't like the weather here in the Ohio Valley, wait a minute!
Ralphie Boy That looks great and I love cherry too. I don't know if it's an optical illusion or my old eyes but is that stack leaning slightly towards the table. If so is there a way to stabilize it buy tying in temporary brace to ceiling joist. Just saying. Wouldn't want anyone to get hurt!
