    There is a showing of a film "THE VIETNAM WAR" it will be shown on PBS and take 10 sessions to see it all. If you want to have a real look at what we experienced, please plan to watch this film. Maybe DVR it so you can look at it during the right times for you. Visit this site to have a look at what it is and watch a few clips from the film.

    I watched the first episode tonight. There's always a history leading to wars. A little eye opener for sure.

    P.S. Sad innocent people gets caught up in these situations.

    Pbs sucks, but I watched most of the last two episodes.
    It's definitely a good refresher course.
    I'm hoping they honor our guys more in the episodes to come.

    I watched all 10 episodes and have a better understanding on what went on during the American involvement :eek:
    Thanks Larry for the education of the 60's and 70's:thumbs:

    Not sure why you say PBS sucks as I can think of a lot of things that are way worse then PBS.
    I think they did a good job of honoring our vets by letting them tell their stories.
    I have seen some of the episodes 3 times and I catch something new every time I watch.

    I'm really surprised they talked a little about the north veitnamese democratic-socialist re-eduction camps and the erasing of the south's history.

    You read about people fleeing when the north was coming through but seeing it more in detail is pretty crazy. Many not only left everything behind but risked their lives to escape.
