That sounds like a lot for a cord or two. Also, probably more work than I can handle. I have a pile of wood to process under my pine, and more in the back yard.
Please let us know how you like the grenade (new wedge) after using it. I've seen them but never used one. I've heard both good and bad about them too.
I don't see the pieces of black locust I dropped off. Did you find room near your stove to stash it? Also, I had to chuckle at the mention of "drift over".
They are tucked away nice and safe under a tarp in the back yard. I wouldn't leave them out by the road to get snatched! I haven't had a problem with woodnapping, but I don't leave splits lying around in plain sight. I try to move the rounds along promptly, too.
I have some splits piled up at the edge of my property close to the road only a crumbling stone wall separating. I have thought about someone stopping by and filling there pick up. If they need it that bad all they have to do is ask.
Too bad they'll never ask. Unfortunately they'll probably just take it. Speaking of that....I have to check on some of my remote stash at the wood lot.
and thats why I try and keep most of my wood hidden from sight. Unfortunately, it doesnt get the best wind, and only gets sun after leaf drop, but at least its not going to grow legs!
Hi MW It burns well here in the UK, I see no reason why it won't do the same in your neck of the woods BB
I hope to try it soon. The next chilly morning, I'm going to light up some sticks, which are kind of a pain to store.
