Moving wood into the truck for the woodshed when a bunch of bustard wasps got upset. Got under my tee and stung like hell over my "six pack".
Didn't want to upset anyone with pics of my "six".
I'am fine and the wasps are history.................bustard wasps.

I'm kinda surprised I haven't found a wasp nest in the stacks. They like the overhangs on the house and the garage. they meet the Black Flag Terminator there though.

Glad your ok. I once strummed over a nest of ground wasps, after the first sting I just ditched the strummer and legged it. Could've been so much worse..,, :)

Strummer was meant to read Strimmer, auto correct fail! Legged it, as in hot footed it away as fast as my pegs would carry me ;-)

Ants. Big black, wood eating ants is my problem. I cut into a hollow maple, cherry, whatever and those damm things come spilling out like soup. I have to knock the heck out of 'em to hopefully not move the colony to my stacks! Even then, the SOBs wake up when I carry the logs into the house during the burning season. That and little flying bugs. Drawback of wood burning heating I guess.

I have been told they are good for keeping down the tick populations as well.
