Honey Locust?

    I lean more toward honey locust or is it possible mulberry, maybe white mulberry.

    either way if the tree has thorns it will keep you warm on a cold night.

    Well then you know exactly what that means. I have yet to truly burn it. The bark I have burned in just an outdoor fire. The heat is UNREAL.

    damm man, same thing happened to me today! Got jabbed in the thumb, and later this evening I was wondering why my thumb hurt so much...good and swollen too!

    Wrong leaves for White Mulberry, and definitely not regular ol Mulberry...I have a ton of that already in my stacks (love it!). I'll split one of these mystery wood rounds in the morning and post it up.

    Its not a great feeling brother. I know that pain. We just work through it don't we? My neighbor said he took himself to the ER for the swollen finger he persevered through. You're among the ranks who understood such pain and mean business.

    Yeah, leaves look like black locust, not honey locust. The bark too, definitely not honey locust.

    A quick Google of "young black locust tree" yields these photos...both look like what I have here, so I'm sufficiently convinced.
