Changed gears, the ram for da splitter showed up, so I installed it and fixed up the retaining pins. Actually splits a piece of wood now. Gunther and I just had supper and I'm having a cup of coffee, after that going to give it a go while it's light out and not raining just yet.
Good evening, was able to split up a trailer load of wood and get it parked under the wood shed just before it started raining. Split a gnarly knotty pine to give it the old test and it sheared right on through. Put on a new oil filter as well, engine oil is changed, just top off the hydro oil and should be golden. Sure is much faster than the little screw splitter and nice to have the crane for the big chunks.
