great pic. I count 7 in the tree! Wonder how long that ladder is? If the 3 story house is 30ft the ladder has to be at least 60! I didn't know they made ladders that long! To bad you can't see the tools they are using!
ive seen this pic before, at the time i think it was one of the largest American Elms in the country, and if i recall correctly, the tree didnt live much longer from when this pic was taken.....
It's elm, I grabbed a piece of barkless something out of the round pile today laid it on the splitter and I could just see on the outside how it was twisted and knew what it was
I'd be the guy in the swing getting winched up! A coworker about 30 years old was telling me today that he hired someone to clean the gutters on his ranchmen were men back then
I used to do maintenance on these adult foster care homes, well they decided they wanted the outside of the big old two-and-a-half story house painted, to top it off this house set up 15 ft from the road with a cement embankment which made it seem even higher when you look down there ,well I got my scraper tools out when up this 45 foot shaky azz aluminum ladder couple times,, tried to start scraping paint, took the ladder down put it away and told them they going to have to hire a painter or something for this I can't do it
It's funny cuz when I was a kid I didn't give a crap,, climb up in trees, one-time jumped out of the little door on a two-story grain barn, lucky I didn't break both my legs, oh I got hurt though. Used to walk all over the roofs of those barns too. Grain bins in that Barn we're 20 feet deep,, get up in the rafters and jump into them half full and sink in up to your chest. Crazy thinking about it
