It happens... newb or not. Had a firepit fire going really good and thought it was the perfect time to add to it. Bad idea. Outside air was too warm. I threw in junk stuff that had been out in the weather all summer. Even with a hot fire, it turned into a mega ugly cloud that hung right on the ground and wafted over to my neighbor to the north... :headbang:... I wasn't impressed. Bet he was tho...

Ate there a couple of years ago and then went to tour the plantation and some of the other sites. Neat town to take a walk in.

Caffeine dose going in. Hopefully we didn't get too much rain here last night that I can't get outside work done.

I'm starting to not feel the greatest. I really hope I'm not getting sick. Lots to do with the family this weekend. Taking Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday off from everything.

Have fun and be safe today.

I built this sign for our cemetery. Now I have to dig 2 holes and put in the posts, not looking forward to that.

We have had our first frosts. The last couple of days has seen white on the roof tops and windshields of vehicles. It was crisp this morning as we headed out for our walk. campinspecter is delivering his load of firewood today to Mom's place. Two days of work until the weekend. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving here in Canada.

WWW smoked the INSIDE Of the house out 1 out of every 3 times he lit the tiny insert we had. Not used to only a couple splits fitting and it was flush to the floor (couldn't see in the firebox), cold tall chimney and the baffle raised up from too much wood= smoke alarms and windows open.

Got a good soaking rain this morning. Got the shop 75% clean which is about a 500% improvement over how its been all summer.

Got to run a few errands and then make a cookie box for the wife...then hopefully get in the woods tonight.

Yeah, I know, the soil would have to be rock-free (wouldn't work in most places in Maine)... but, this idea might be worth trying in sandy soil with just a long straight extension on the hose... Jack Straw

Had a flat tire on the corolla this morning. Nice and dark. Moon was out, but didn't help. About 1 hour before sunrise.

Tire bulged out sidewall, so it is shot. Gotta love those compact space saving spares, no?
