Probably because the other Blue Jay fan in the household took the picture! The colour matches his eyes.

That is pretty cool - never thought about there being more than one logging company dumping into the river.

Another clear gorgeous day ahead of us. campinspecter gets to go on a sea cruise and deliver the wood he gathered yesterday. It is getting cool in the morning but the afternoons are warm.

Guess what? I finally was able to call Delta faucet for the shower head swivel ball joint part before noon my time. Very nice gentleman, said that part is not available so he's sending a new head out for free :ups:

What? Only 4 years? How did I get so many posts in that timeframe? One would think I'm retired.

Had a busy night lastnight, by 530 this morning i had only gotten about an hour and a half of sleep.

    530, my phone rings.

Illinois state police calling with a roll over about 20 miles away.
    I jump and get moving.

Im in the process of recovering the vehicle...

I keep a few of my chains in a 5 gallon square fuel jug.
Perfect for my J hooks... they hang on the lip of the spout and i run my chain down into
the jug, have a big square cut out of the side as a window for placing smaller chains within
the jug.. anyways this jug is sitting about 10' behind and to my right on the road way
between me and an ISP squad car.
A truck traveling WB wasnt paying attention, hits my storage container.
It flies through the air, hits me directly at the back of my right knee. Buckles both of my
legs and forces them into the side of my the bed on my wrecked. Container weighs a good
80lbs with the chain in it...

That could of been me standing there, or an ISP officer, of the victim in the roll over crash.

Yikes, you'd think people would slow down passing a cop and a wrecker! I hope it doesn't hurt too bad tomorrow.

Snow Ice-Cream yum. Mom use to make it in the '60s. I haven't made any in 30 years. Will have to whip some up this year if the snow gods cooperate.

Getting the porch ready this afternoon. The deck furniture gets put away and the plastic goes up and plywood down on the floor.
Over the next 2 weeks I'll get 3 cord onto the first floor, neatly stacked and ready to grab in my slippers if I want to.
Best thing about a covered porch, weather doesn't matter. :)

When campinspecter is in firewood gathering mode and the weather cooperates, it is a once or twice a week trip. The ferry trip is about 45 mins one way.
