I guess it is just my misunderstanding. If it is just a mesh, then I would continue to wear my plastic eye safety glasses as well so I am still going to have the fogging issue.

I was bucking trimming up rounds one had a partial cut in it, I had the helmet on because I wanted the ear protection at the time and the shield was down, saw grabbed a chunk and threw it right at that shield and smacked it good, I know it would have hurt, probably bruised and cut my face.
I don't know how many times I had brush poke into that Shield but not in my face

I just wear glasses for the normal stuff around the yard, but will wear the helmet in the nasty stuff or when using brushcutter.

There are safety glasses with anti fogging lenses.

The setup that Eric posted is what I tried to use weadeating after a coworker recommended. I had fogging issues. Other than that, works great.

Maybe the key is to try some of that antifogging stuff. I have some that I might try.

One very surprising thing about helmets is that they are amazingly warm in the Winter.

Spit , dish soap , they'll work for anti fog .
The Bugz or the screen are ok for the bigger stuff but don't beat approved safety glasses .
    I have 10 fingers so I can afford to loose a few , I only have 2 eyes .

So true. Unfortunately that holds true for summer or any warm temps, too.
