It took me a day longer than the three weeks I said it would but the shed is full now. Have some willow to cut and split tomorrow so I'll clean up the mess after that's done.

Got the rest of the oak piled in the old barn and some willow I C&S today. Once I'm all done I'll change the oil on the splitter, clean it all up and put it away in the garage til next year.
Those huge splits are actually just short end pieces a couple of inches long. The other half is behind it.
Just covering my azz here in case anyone mentions it.

Well done Chris. We won't even hold you against it for taking longer. What's a day anyway?

    12 x 16 x say 8 ft tall would be 12 cords. 12 x 8 x again 8ft would be 6 cords.

    Nice work!

Now I'm done! Changed the oil in the splitter and blew it off with the air. Ran the carb dry with the fuel shut off and put 'er away.
Man, I sure did have a lot of other things I wanted to do this week. Maybe getting older is slowing me down. I know that heat this week sure did.

I should have read the third page before asking how many cord. I'm going to set something basic up in the backyard to start, but would love to get to something just like these. I only need to hold 12 cord total. Right not I burn between 2.5-3.5 cord per year depending on how bad the winter is.

Not to hijack the thread, but, "only 12 cord" That's a heap right there, 12 cord. I have a 3yr+ supply, of 9+ cords. I go through 3+cord/yr.

Here's a look at my stack area, with most of the 9 cord showing. I stack on 8' racks. Thos long stacks you see, are 3, 8footers, end-to-end.

I like the "only" ~smile~ A true hoarder!
