Drat, trouble with stove after the seasonal cleaning today. All fresh and clean and ready to go, turned it on and I heard a few pellets tink down into the stove, it tried to light but ran out of fuel. Restarted it this time with an extra manual auger feed, bridge in the auger-stirred the hopper, rinse and repeat. WWW comes in later and does similar, except more muscle to stir the hopper for the auger bridge (we had 80lbs of pellets in there).

After too long of this, we realized the burn pot was not seated properly, the tinks I was hearing were pellets hitting the ash pan after they rolled off the burn pot unburned, not the usual muffled tinks of them dropping in.

Fixed that, it lit, I got busy in the kitchen and the other two took a nap, WOW it got really hot in here!! The smell was different too. Checked on it, DARN, overfire error again :picard:

Similar to the ash pan fire a couple years ago, it kept feeding furiously and did not stop even though I had turned it to the lowest setting. I turned it off.

I think the overfire might have burned the ignitor up  . We lit in manually and have heat again tonight. We'll take a fresh look at it in the morning:deadhorse:

I emptied out 60# of pellets in the P61a yesterday. Fortunately the P43 was empty so just did several trips up/down the steps to dump the pellets in that hopper. I don't know what the issue was, but when I last tried to fire (after the deep clean a couple of weeks ago) the P61 it would light and run, then die down, then refill the pot and reignite etc. Had to wait until it wasn't 90* and 90% humidity before going in to figure it out.

After emptying the P61a hopper, and checking the fines door to make sure it was on correctly, I put in some smaller pellets and let the stove start and run for a while. All went fine so am guessing a couple of really long pellets bridged and limited the pellet droppage.

Now the house stinks according to the cat. Yucky pickling smell along with hot pepper sting. Piccalilli by my grandmother's recipe is a full contact sport.

Still picking the last of the maters in the garden. Some bell peppers will be ready in a day or two. A few squash left too.

We celebrated Joeys 18th Friday night. How times fly!! Can't call him "the kid" anymore. :tears:

Too chilly to fish with the drizzle yesterday. Did a few indoor honey do list items in the AM. Packed up the deck furniture and stowed when the sun came out for a bit. Raked some acorns the squirrel didn't get. We'll put them out for them later in winta. Mixed with sunflower seeds keeps them off the feeders. Took down the hummingbird feeders and wifey washed and stowed them. Had a piece of left over cake after lunch. Mom got him a gaming wheel for his PS4. We did a lil father son project and built a stand for it after lunch. Then took a geazer nap while watching the rest of the ball game.

Going to get the beast ready for its heating chores today. Guess I best be on the look out for some pellets too.

Hoping to get the buggy back this week from the auto body shop. The renter(Jeep Compass) is OK, But I miss my buggy!!

Well the boss opened the window on the side of the house with the pellet vent yesterday and wondered why she could smell smoke in the house. Doh, the window was above and to the right of the vent. The window is normally closed during heating season. Looks like I need to screw it shut.
