OMG. Deer season begins Oct 1. With this on Oct, I might be sitting in a tree somewhere and I only have a dumb phone.

I finally went and picked up my new stove from my work today. Not as easy to do as it was going to be in my head!

It's now sitting in the back of the Bronco until I can gather up a few strong friends to help carry it into the house.

Unloading is a lot easier than loading providing you have a downward ramp to where it needs to be.

Of course, getting it into the back of the vehicle is always easy since it is usually accomplished with the aid of a lift!

I put it in the back of our box truck with a lift gate, then took the roof off the Bronco and backed it up to the truck. We leaned it back and walked it out of the truck onto the gate, and lowered it down, then walked it back and forth off the lift gate.

I had envisioned blocking the legs and rolling it on a two wheeler, but that didn't fly. It wanted to roll off the board.

I need to see what I can do to get as much weight out of it as possible, then we can either roll it down the ramp onto the patio, then up the ramp twice into the house, or we can carry it in. Two steps onto the deck, then one in the slider.

What kind of stove is it? Can you support it on its belly? If so, then put blocks on the dolly just high enough to get the legs up off the ground a bit, then ratchet strap it to the dolly. You should be able to place planks on the bumper of the Bronco with blocking underneath to make ramps level with Bronco floor...just make sure the ramps are secure so they don't kick out on you! BTDT! (ouch) I used to have a Baby Bronco (V8 :dex:) before I caved in and bought a pickup, so I've hauled all kinds of crazy stuff in a Bronc.

The boat was winterized and washed twice today then put back in the garage. I also washed the truck twice today so maybe we'll do the tractor tomorrow.

We're knocking items off that list we need done before winter hits week by week, the next few items up are cleaning out the rain gutters and then having the septic pumped out. :fart: We've never had a problem with it but we have it pumped out every three years.

That’s why you never had a problem with it. Pumping out every three years is important.

Having a septic tank pumped every three years is the law. Just had mine down a month ago. Good for three more years.

It's a woodstock Absolute Steel. It has an ash pan on the belly, so not easy to block up. I need to spend some tone looking at it and figure out the best way to do it. It made the pneumatic tires on my shops two wheeler pretty sad too.

I may just build a dolly for it.

Can you custom cut blocks for the inside of the ash pan area to support it?

not here either when I bought house I looked for it for weeks.. it it goes under slab I thought in a straight line.. no that would make sense.. top of tank is 6 feet under ground.. pretty sure it hadn't been pumped since built. 20 plus years.. I put on risers so at least you know where it is! it's pumped every 3 to 4 now

Most likely. I need to take a closer look at it. I was short on time to deal with it at work with the help.of someone that was on the clock.

A person on our street thinks Rid-X takes care of everything, I don't think this persons septic has been pumped in 7-8 years so I'm guessing this person will be having problems at the worst time of the year....winter.

No I wasn't there, I watched it of course though.
My friends only have gold package season tickets, which is the Milwaukee ticket games. So 1 preseason game and 2 regular season games. The next one is vs the Lions on Nov 6th. Monday night, so I don't know about that one.

That was a scary, and unnecessary hit on Adams. He's ok, released from the hospital today, it appears it may only be a concussion. Which, isn't minor, but considering the hit is about the best outcome.

Danny Trevathon, the Chicago linebacker that hit Adams, will get suspended from this hit, as he clearly could've done things differently. That's a textbook example of an illegal hit. I'm guessing he'll get the full 5 game ban, and 75-100k fine.
Trevathon isn't known as a dirty player, but that hit.... That hit will be made an example of.
