2.45 inches of rain this month, most of it Monday, more on the way. I brought in a tote after work and top covered 4 others. All the wood lots are closed because the city moved the operation to the landfill, public won't be able to remove wood from there.:( we went from the 90's to the 60's in two days.
I could look for a log trailer.;)

To bad on the wood lots and it is a shame to let all the wood rot instead of being used.

It was 97 here today"in the e'Fing shade "!!!!!!:bug:
Don't think we've had hardly any rain in Sept. Dryest I've ever seen it. Farmers are just starting to chop corn which is about a month late and the dust is rolling . By now they would normally be fighting MUD!

Dry here too. We did get .3" last week so I planted some wheat. Looked this morning and it is not up yet except for a few sprouts. Doubt if it will grow until we get more rain.

Good news is that it is much cooler today and mostly cloudy too so better for getting some work done.

Looking good at the calendar. Yup, it's Fall.

Looking at the thermometers. Nope, not Fall.

    Maybe this weekend.

little birch in the fall.JPG This little birch behind my house thinks it is! To the right you can see a baby larch tree with its needles starting to turn yellow. These little guys posed for my camera about 4 days ago.

Yessah! That muggy crappie air finally made an exit and was replaced with dry, cool air. Currently, I have a fire in the woodstove, for a few hours anyways. Feels good.

Rainy, chilly day forecasted for saturday. Another small fire will be in order,

Its -1c/30f right now with a layer of frost on everything. Not a cloud in the sky. Should be a beautiful day.

Lucky Canadian. On my way back home this morning though. It wasn't raining until I took a couple turns toward my house. Then realized high winds were blowing rain from those clouds just at the sky line, hidden by the trees sorta. IMG_3694.JPG

Cool picture. Im watching the morning news and see the clouds invading up and down the coast. Will be in my area tomorrow. Guess Ill be splitting in the rain. The forecast has a snow flake in it but I dont believe it. Sometimes I think they include it just for liability so we cant say they didnt warn us.

Haha, Enumclaw was saying that like a week ago. Or 2. Anyways it brought a really cold front for a short time. Made my hands sting a bit as it was quick. Anyways a little back and forth rain now some stretch of sun period in the week but great news that the stove will likely be installed just in time for the cold snaps. The 16th is my scheduled day.

With the cold temps we're getting tonight, the leaves should really drop!

We've had lots of leaf drop here but the color change has really slowed down after that hot spell. It had been looking really nice with lots of reds showing but those reds are now past. Hoping for more soon.
