4k/3200 6.5hp I wanted something light enough to carry, good on gas, to be able to run all night but big enough to run almost anything. I run a small MIG welder for remote welding, it gets the job done as long as I don't overload the breaker Which is easy to do with a welder... It sits with ethanol and always start first pull.... The 13hp are just as good. The motors are bigger better versions of Honda's 11hp I run one ony sawmill. Same deal but sits outside all year in the rain and snow, ethanol gas...fires first time every time.
I got the same thing and will back up EVERYTHING he says. In my opinion, certain things are great at Harbor Freight, infrequently used tools being some of them. A generator is one of those things.
They sure are. The predator motors are awesome. I can't speak to the generator part, but the motors are awesome. Quiet, and start easy.
I too have heard good things about the Predator engines, but I am also skeptical about their electronics. I would definitely consider buying one of their generators for working remotely, but theres no way in hell that I would connect it to the generator panel in my house.
