2.5 minutes for Eric to spot that   Ya, that term was floating around here a couple years ago, I googled it a and I finally asked what it was, I kept thinking it was a stove part or a tool or plumbing thing or something so disregarded the pics that came up on google. lukem was kind enough to confirm that my googling was not off, it is indeed what it is.

I've been making pizza. I strain the tomato sauce with a coffee filter in a funnel to take some of the water out. So much better than pizza sauce in a jar!

    Classic!

Banned from the store, no doubt, but worth it. Classic.

Milwaukee broke another record high today. 91 degrees. We're about to get some rain tonight again.

I replaced the heating element, thermostat for the heating element, and fan motor. It was like $100 something in parts.

"They" wanted $300 on labor to remove a few stews and unplug and reconnect some wiring harnesses. I said GFY, I think I can handle it.

Horkn's trucking company is taking a full load today. I have to drop off an enclosure at a subcontractor tomorrow morning on my way into work.

It's a 65" long x 38" wide X 19" tall box with an enclosure nearly the size of the box.

Still too hot to cut. I tore into my dad's Husqvarna 359. It was running on ether (yeah I said ether), a couple months ago. It had spark so I assumed it was the carb since it has been sitting for years. He has free gas for heat.

He ordered a carb, we swapped it and still, no love. Put a new NGK in since it had weak spark. Still...nothing. I figured he roached the cylinder with the starting fluid. Compression check showed 135 so I pulled the exhaust. The cylinder looked great, ring seemed to move freely no scoring on piston. Hummm...

There was a little rust on the flywheel magnets. I pulled the recoil and sure enough, rust on the coil and flywheel. Got out the emory cloth and now it runs. I need to tune the carb though, the new carb is the design without the acceleration pump. It had the one with the pump. It got dark, I was sweating and a shower sounded better than tuning a saw, so it will have to wait til tomorrow.

    rant alert..

The state govt. in their infinite wisdom decided that fuel oil delivery cos. would be responsible if an older oil tank failed in a customer home as they have insurance to cover it makes sense right...

well those delivery companies response is what.. if your oil tank is over 10 years old replace it.. they don't want claims on their insurance no duh..

need to replace 6 oil tanks and pour 4 inch concrete pads to sit them on.. law took effect 7 31.. that's gonna cost me at least 7500 dollars.. my tenants are going to get Jan 1 rent increase they will complain but what r u gonna do!

the infamous law of unintended consequences

We've got some some pretty strict septic regs coming down the pipe. The have passed through the state and have been signed by the Governor. They are going to be implemented over several years so we won't remember who to blame. These reg will cost a home owner upwards of 40k if their system isn't working. As is it right now, there isn't a single system in our county that will pass the regs once they are fully implemented.

I had a new septic field installed around 2015, passed with flying colors and supposedly had the newer and better stuff and way to do it (some changes due to a long time septic field contractor welcomed and appreciated by the local authorities). Another member here that was an inspector in a different state had to pick his jaw up off the ground, as our regs were so loose compared to his state.

Rain again? we are dry as a bone down here. It rained for about 20 minutes today not enough to keep the dust down.

One of my sons was done this past weekend from the Twin Cities and he was telling me they can't buy 2-3 days in a row without rain. We have had very little rain in the past month but the cities are getting rain regularly.

Eric VW cover your ears. :)

I think you're onto something. I talked to a furnace repair dude (very technical term huh?) and he thought the switch might be bad. He said he would look look to see if he has a replacement one for me to try.

We got about an inch a few days ago. Well, we did up north of Milwaukee. But we were at the edge of the area that hit far to the north of Milwaukee. No rain yet for us tonight though. Hopefully we'll still get some, as there's a drought for most of SE Wisconsin.
