While I am just getting a whiff of this, looks like the new 572XP is out and in some hands for trials. Read that we should start to see them on the shelves in 2018. Would very much like to handle one and see how it compares to the older 70cc models, such as my 2166. Wondering what the price will be on them? I'm guessing ~$1000? Fairly big news considering the prolific usage of the 72 series.

    It’s here: The New 572 XP®

So who's getting one to do a full FHC review for us??

If the difference is equal to the difference between my old 350 and new 550, my 2166 may be finding a new home. I love my old 350 and will never get rid of it, but the autotune 550 has it beaten in prettymuch every way in my experience so far with the biggest differences being vibration and chain speed/power. The specs of the 572 show it to have nearly 1 full horsepower more than my same displacement 2166 (372). Weight looks to be the same. Wonder if they will have one at the Bunyan Show? I will be checking.

My 365 special is one of my favourite saws and definitely the nicest to use it is my go to for cutting green medium sized wood.

I have the local Husqvarna dealer keeping a lookout for a clean 372XP for me but he may end up selling me a 572 now.

Basically, the exact same saw as my 2166. It's been a fine saw for me, so no real reason to upgrade....just the "want" reason mostly. We'll see I guess!

Told my local dealer to call me when they are about to arrive . Told him to leave it in the box ,other than paperwork . Did that with the 562,550 ,and 395 . Why ruin a tradition !

At the Husqvarna dealer meeting last week they said it will not be here until August of 2018. They did not even bring one to play with.

I agreed and asked why. The short answer in a round about way was since the North American market was so large and very important they wanted to make sure they don't get egg on our face. Granted it was not said exactly that way but that is the message I got. Which I get that. After some of the 562, 550, and t540 problems I am comfortable with them taking extra time so I don't have to try and explain problems away.

No, I mean that they didn't even bring a "show and tell" example to look at. I understand their timidness considering the market. They at least could have let you all see it in person.

Ya I was bummed about that. They did bring the new 450 that is coming out. Just an update with some new feature to the current 450

The 572 will be the first saw I've seen come from a factory with a full circle crank. Looks like a big 562 with hopefully upgraded cooling system & upgraded AT. A little less weight would be nice but it looks promising, especially if the new 90cc class saw is a jug swap. They been fiddling with this saw for the most part of a decade.
