Here ya go Eric VW ! I remembered!

This was how I spent 4 hours of the weekend. Before , during and after pics.

The approach to the garage was compacted pit run. At some point, I would like the approach to be black-topped. Not wanting the rocks to pop through the asphalt every spring, (frost heaving) I had 6" or so removed and then filled with washed gravel.

Here's the rest of the gravel project pics. The side of the garage will have a lean to built along the whole length....I hope!

Foggy but warm out this morning. I managed to do a longer walk along side 2 dogs and campinspecter Nice to have the whole family along. We drove down island to do some shopping yesterday. Nice to get away for awhile. Now I have three more projects to work on before Christmas.

This week is off to an interesting and start.

Vacuum cleaner died last night. It went down hard....not worth fixing from what I can see.

Fridge started sounding like a detroit diesel last week. Repair guy came out today and quoted $500 to fix it. $300 of that is labor for what looks to be a 20 minute job. I'm going to do that myself.

A few minutes ago my SIL who lives right up the road called me and said there was an emergency and my 1YO fell down the stairs and there was blood everywhere. I got up there and the kid was pretty not bad, but my wife is still about to pass out from seeing all the blood. A little bitty gash in in his head made it look like a crime scene. He's totally fine.

Nothing a little bit of time and money can't fix. It could be a lot worse though.

    Life.
Glad the little one is ok.
When I see that kind of money for an appliance repair, I start considering a new one.

This thing is only like 3 years old. I bought it new when I remodelled the kitchen.

The defrost heating element went out and iced up everything, and likely took the circulation fan with it when the ice got to be too much.

Other than that, the thing works like a champ so I'm not ready to scrap it. I did some reading and apparently the compressor on these is pretty good and really the only other major repair for this model.
