My honey had something like this a month ago that started on her back. Originally they diagnosed as shingles as that was what it looked like. Then it did not act like shingles, swelling went down but still spread around to the front and never developed the way shingles would have. Urgent care finally agreed it wasnt acting like shingles. Honey insisted on test for Lyme because she thought it started as a bite and never really believed it was shingles. Urgent care said not necessary. Guess what, test came back positive so doxycycline regiment started and things started to heal. She just finished the doxy regiment and had to go for another Lyme test in a few weeks-hopefully it was caught early giving the doxy a chance to get rid of it and she hasnt had it for a while.

That doxy is hard on the system at least that is what my wife says, she spent more than a couple of days on the stuff for yup, Lyme, she had the bullseye rash, now whenever she gets a tick bite it is at least a 3 day doxy treatment while they wait for the test results to come back. They assume she got it again as it is in the area and there is a high deer/deer mouse count in this neighborhood. Deer wintering areas out back and out front. Have to fence in any garden areas as well.

Yeah, she says that the doxy is hard on the system and that was why she really didnt want to do it but she opted to. Talking with fellow medical workers she found that if she opted to wait and see then it could get into areas that are harder to treat. Taking the weeks long dose early will hopefully stop that from happening. Also she just told me that there wont be another test because she did the doxy regiment and once it shows positive, it always will-kind of like chicken pocks, once you have it it is in your system and shows as being exposed. The possible 2nd test would have been if no treatment was done and to see if it was getting worse or not.

I am sure I didnt get it all straight but I got the overall............

The subsequent test that can tell between currently active versus prior exposure exists and isn't normally done due to expense and lack of trained folks.

Neither, directly for the bacteria. It is genetic test.

    Worked by butt off today.

Finished the brake job on the Ridgline.

Broke out the power washer and did the worst (and highest) side of the house as far up as I could-no ladder and power washer for me, that is hire someone else stuff

    Cleaned garage

Looked into the garage's back door frame. I have replaced the dammm door 3 times due to water rot. It never gets sun and no matter how many times I paint and try to seal it eventually gets into the wood on one bottom corner. Its happening again so I pulled off the trim on that side finding that the trim took most of the hit but the frame is still a bit punky for about an inch or two. Currently have a fan on it to dry it further and them trying some Mad Dog Dura Prime that my brother suggested. He has used it on trouble areas as well with good success, says he has used it on punky wood as well with success. Figure I will try it and if it doesnt hold up due to the wood being too far gone then I will replace the door with a non wood frame. Hoping I can salvage.

Its expensive but only use it on trouble areas and my bro says it works. Prior to getting married, he gave it to his now wife for problem areas at her house and it worked where other products didnt. He says it is like Elmers Glue consistency.

Even though wifey and I are currently separated, I took her on a vegan dinner train excursion for her birthday (she's vegan). It was fun and we had never done anything like that before.

Doesnt always happen that way. My ex and I remained friendly after breaking up including going to a concert or two together. That breakup was 17 years ago and over time we lost touch.

No slackin here. Its either go to Kittery for my honey's youngest' soccer game this afternoon or deal with the back door of the garage. Maybe time for both.......
