My snowblower came in today!! The one on the left is what I was using. it was a beat up ariens 20 inch compact, with 1 speed. SLOW. no reverse. The new one is the cub cadet 30" 3x HD. 6 forward, 2 reverse. 420cc engine. heated handles. electric start. 2 led dash lights and an led light bar on the auger housing. All chute controls from dash. I put it together after work today. I have the cab here and its half put together but I stopped because my shoulder was acting up again. Nice upgrade!!
I unloaded the ariens on craigs list so i cant show side by side, but most of the old one could prob fit in the new ones auger housing.

First day of fall! I gotta go fishin............... Doing double duty this weekend. We need to get in as much as possible, As soon as Joey gets his butt outta bed. Off to the lake we live on, But hardly ever fish. Too many yahoo's, But they are mostly at work or heading back to Florida(snowbirds). Hopefully the wind isn't too bad and we catch a few!!

Tomorrow its back to the lake on the hill where da lunkers reside. Always windy up there, But we know where to duck and hide from it!! :)

Speaking of nuts, are the rest of you noticing the size of the acorns this year? The ones around me are huge......twice as big as usual.

I've got to turn over the engine on my snowblower didn't use it all that much last winter. Hopefully I won't need it much this winter but since I am going to see how I do keeping the driveway clear, best I check it out before I need it.

No nuts around here - well, not the kinds that squirrels like anyway. Maples however at putting prodigious amounts of helicopters!

I'll wait on testing mine until Oct. - Nov. Ran OK last year, and after I fixed the carb surge problem last spring, I'm sure it will be fine. Synthetic oil, Stabil in the gas......I'm good. It only needs an new coat of Sno-Slide spray in the chute, auger housing, etc.

errh! Back to the VA. Leg not healing. Cellulitis now spread around to the back of my lower leg. Swelling has gone down, but otherwise still an issue. MD got a sonogram to ck for Deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) That was negative. Blood counts are still good. So now I am taking two antibiotics. Hard to behave and put my foot up.

    sad! :(

Oh well, Yesterday we basically got blown off da lake. Couldn't take the wicked wind guests(29 mph)............. Off to try again today. Wind seems much clamer today. Pressure is still a bit high from Jose though. Expect lock jaw and fish so close to the cover you loose you chit!! Shy!

That cellulitis is nasty stuff. Make sure to take all the antibiotics and get on the phone quick if it keeps spreading. I've known people that had to get intraveinous antibiotics before it finally got under control. The ex got that, he too was on two different types of super strength AB's.

Took Friday off , cleaned the truck up loaded it and off through the mountains the wife and I went to attend a wedding in Bethel Maine. Splendid drive through the mountains, stopped for a some food and of course a beer in Woodstock. On we went up 93 to 115 to route 2 and finally landed at Bethel Inn and joined in on a barbecue. Absolutely gorgeous place with a ton of history and my favorite Mountains !! everywhere surrounding. Going to have some coffee and go for a hike with the Mrs. Definitely envious of you folks that live up here this is where I feel at home in the mountains. Later today shall attend the wedding of a very good friend of mine another Super with whom I spent three years of hell doing a $800 million project in Cambridge and have not seen or spent much time with because of our busy schedules. This is actually the first time I have spent any time in the mountains of Maine always have been in New Hampshire , will have to make sure i get up here again as My sister owns a house up here and always ask when I am going to use it !
