Been wanting one for a while and after doing a little bit of research decided on the craftsmen compression tester.
Not not at all, I specifically told my wife I was just buying a few to try them out and would be selling the ones I didn't like. Well guess i like them all so that was easy.....
Very nice kit !! Ive got an older Craftsman tester like that . Had it for years now...works like a charm . Been used for all sorts of projects . 8n's.....dozens of old snowmobiles...minibikes....4 wheelers....chain saws...go karts !! It is a super useful tool . When I go to buy a saw locally to flip....I always ask the seller if its ok to test the compression . If they say no..Ill walk . The old "feel of the pull cord" has tricked me too many times !
That's definitely a good kit! Looks like it has a small enough fitting for the new AutoTune Husqvarna's? They have a super small plug. I have had a couple, and like the one I have now. But that one does look nice. Have you checked any saws yet? What's that 460 pumping. The two I tested 2 weeks ago were both right at 162 on my gauge.
No I haven't checked any yet but will be this week. I lost motivation to work out in the garage when it 20 degrees in there, lol.
My wife is pretty good about ignoring saws coming in as long as some go out from time to time. I told her I usually only buy at a price I could later sell the saw for quickly in a pinch. A saw worth $300 on the shelf is so much cooler than the cash sitting in a savings account paying nothing in interest.
