Better food, clean yard as soon as you can, and supplements from pet places to deter, and also, (I forget the ingredient) but is was some kind of derivetive from pineapple (I think). Yummy-NOT. I never tried the pepper route. eta- bromelain
One of my five is a connoisseur, I can't break him of it, even with the e collar, I can get him to leave it, but he will try his dammdest to sneak back to it, I've watched him wait until he thought I wasn't looking. Only if it's dry, I think he likes the crunch, I've tried the supplement, and I feed very good kibble, but that can work if it's something that's lacking in the dogs diet...I think he just really likes it.
We clean the yard before it hits the yard.... The dog is a 6 month bulldog. Eating Pro Plan Lamb and Rice.
That's exactly what I thought it was..... Ron white did a bit about his wife's dog afflicted with the same thing.
Learnt me a new word tonight...and here I thought it was classified as/called "my dog likes eating dog chit"..... Heck, Harvey the avatar dog has been a frequent snacker of canine Vienna sausages for years! I agree with DaveGunter, I think Harvey likes that particular crunch
Sometimes I wish we would get some of those Yooper freezing F's temps...maybe freeze his nose off! (Only one thing to freeze off, 2 if ya called it by nostrils).
Luckily we've never had a dog that snacked on poo...at least not their own... I think all of ours liked bunny and deer pellets...
Our fuzzy buddy did this when he was a pup. I had a bottle of "arse in the tub" or equivalent hot sauce mixed with a shot of vinegar to thin the mix more. One episode of eating a dog landmine drizzled with that and he was cured.
Yep... I think Sandy survived for the first 10 years of her life in a hoarder home by eating canine Viennas too. Don't know if she prefers "crunchy" ones like DaveGunter mentioned... she seems to enjoy any and all... ... yum...
had a female brit with same affliction never did break her of it- , and she really liked the hot sauce .
Not trying to be harsh or critical here, but are you sure the dog is getting enough routine/attention/training?
