How are you liking the Kubota so far?

 

I'm sure of that! I meant is it meeting your expectations? How many hours on the meter yet?

 

Looks like more fun than work to me. I love running loader tractors.

 

I got a 12 yeard load of that ground up asphalt about 10 years ago.....you're gonna like it!

Place mine right on the lawn where I had moved a 12 X 16 storage shed to.

Are the front rims reversible? That would widen the front out a bit. I did not care for the front wheels on mine being narrower than the rears at first, but came to realize this is done to give a tighter turn radius. I have had mine in some fairly hairy situations but was only close to going over once. Thankfully, had the bush hog on back and the weight helped out. Come to think of it, most times I've been in those situations, I'm bush hogging. Always trying to get just a little further up the bank or over the edge I guess.

Edit: That first service can bit a bit hard on the wallet depending on your fluid capacity. Kubota is mighty proud of their fluid, but I am hesitant to use anything else.

 

that's the major difference between ag. and r4 tires is the width especially in the front.. mine are close to 14 inches wide in front..

the ags. have more traction and dig... not always ideal .. some times a wider tire stays on top better..

have you talked to your dealer Dennis for suggestions.. I think mine has a rear wheel 6 inch extender kit option

 

I would like some of that ground up tarmac as well. Where did you get it? I would spread it out over my drive area. Is it cheaper than crush gravel?

 

It was about 75% the cost of crushed for me. Don't hope to find any of it unless there is some resurfacing work going on in your neck of the woods. Stuff is like a dream..almost self compacting!

 

@yoopers right.. the good if you. apply it evenly in the hot sun (above 82 deg) and drive a car on it it almost looks like a paved road.. be careful if you use it on hills or clay as it will get ripples or potholes.. and then you need real equipment to fix..

Still probably too expensive for me at this time. The drive has not had any work done to it since it was put down when we set the house up. My sister is going to be letting me use her scrape blade for an extended time. Her husband is selling the 8N he owns and her son has the tractor her first husband had so the scrape blade is just going to be sitting. There is a lot of grade work I need to do here; the driveway and parking area being one. Also, hope to set up a permanent wood storage area.

 

I assume this means square yard spread out to the minimal thickness possible for the product? So I would just measure the area and then double or triple etc for the thickness I wish it to be?

 

Kimberly in material a yard is a cubic yard (sometimes sold by ton) or 27 cu. feet it will cover about 100 square feet 2 inches thick

 

I was taught a cubic yard was 3' by 3' by 3'. I could be wrong,but a 6 wheeler would haul 10 yards of material. Tractor trailer around 24 yards. Nothing official just over yonder here in Wisconsin.

 

yup 3 x 3 x 3 equals 27 .. our weight limits don't allow tractor trailers so we get a 10 wheeler dump truck (called a tandem axle) and 14 wheeler a triple axle.. our tandems are about 12 to 14 yards depending on wall height and heaping
